The Star Wars series has restarted after the publishing break. Set after The Empire Strikes Back, this run explores how Luke Skywalker deals with the shocking revelation that Darth Vader is his father. In issue 5, Luke travels to a new planet, seeking a Jedi that he has been seeing through visions by the Force. But things don’t go smoothly because she doesn’t want to be found.

The modern Star Wars run has been steadily good with some intriguing stories set around the original movie trilogy. In this story by Charles Soule, we get a snippet of reactions to Luke’s reputation post-Yavin and how the remaining Jedi or Force-sensitive individuals live.

The art by Jesús Saiz and colors by Arif Prianto and Dan Brown are excellent. On every page, the art team provided lots of details to set the scene and the right touches of color to establish the mood. The character work is realistic and the backgrounds mirror what you’d see on screen.
