Suitably complex given that it’s a time travel story, yet highly accessible due to the appealing main characters, Tatsuo and Nadia, Time Before Time #3 is a compelling read.
As the story jumps across eras, writers Declan Shalvey and Rory McConville, artist Joe Palmer, and colorist Chris O’Halloran have maintained a great pace, an excellent style, and similar tone for the characters and events. The series has started off likeable and grown from there.
In this one, Tatsuo and Nadia are now prisoners of The Union, trying to avoid Tatsuo’s employers (a rival organization, The Syndicate), and survive long enough to be free. Other characters conspire against them and all is definitely not as it seems.
Great reading so far!
