Bad Idea; $5.99

The brutal vigilante known as The Watch (think Batman with a more laissez-faire attitude toward dishing out extreme violence on the criminal element) has just been hacked to the tune of $8.8 billion, the money he uses to fund his crime-fighting activities. His solution: go to Russia, find the hacker farm, and get his money back, no matter the high-profile damage he’ll inflict or the international incident he’ll cause. It’s one seriously over-the-top and fun read from writer Matt Kindt (ENIAC) and artist David Lapham (Stray Bullets).

The back-up story (this is, after all, a Bad Idea comic) is another crime story, “The Erasure.” Written by Kindt, it features the first Bad Idea work by artist Klaus Janson (Daredevil). It’s a more down-to-earth crime story, but it’s a really solid one.

Both tales are told in black and white, and all told it’s one great read.
