It’s one of those things when you start thinking: “Sooner or later they’ll stumble.” You think it, but you also really hope they don’t.

And thus far writer Chris Condon and artist Jacob Phillips haven’t made a misstep (unless you count the time between That Texas Blood #6 and #7, now that I’m addicted to the series).

In this issue, which is part four of the “Eversaul, 1981” story, Deputy (and future Sheriff) Joe Bob reaches a turning point in the investigation when he must choose between following Sheriff Cooper or Eversaul.

If you like crime comics, this is great stuff.
