On the run after being framed by his former mentor, inventor-industrialist Edwin Alva, Curtis Metcalf leaves Dakota and just about everyone he knows behind. With the Hardware armor damaged during his escape, he’s doing makeshift repairs as his journey takes him around the globe.
With a destination of Singapore – hey, it’s on the cover, so that’s not much of a spoiler – he meets up with Alva’s former business partner, Asher Sim.
It’s here that writer Brandon Thomas, artists Denys Cowan and Bill Sienkiewicz, and color artist diverge from the original series without doing anything alien to it. Thus far it’s been a very interesting take. Solid all the way around.
