When Peter Parker is in the hospital recovering from a fight, Felicia Hardy heads in for a visit, only to find that an awkward encounter with Mary Jane is the least of her problems. Felicia is given a no-option-to-refuse task from a vengeful Parker Robbins, aka the Hood, and guess which red headed starlet is going to be her partner on this nearly impossible, time sensitive gig?

Mary Jane & Black Cat Beyond was great! Seeing two of Spider-Man’s significant love interests working together is quite entertaining in writer Jed MacKay’s hands. It isn’t too heavy on the tension (just enough to keep it spicy), instead, the focus is on the comedy with some rich dialogue and great one-liners.

For the art, C.F. Villa and colorist Erick Arciniega cement the book’s tone by giving the reader some striking panels layered with action and comedy. It’s beautifully rendered from start to finish.
