Elvira’s sojourn through the movie pocket dimensions has taken her from a motel run by a creepy mama’s boy to an isolated hotel and its axe-wielding caretaker. The latest click of the magic remote control has transported her to an even colder destination: space. But this isn’t the final frontier or a galaxy far, far away. Elvira has boarded a space faring vessel with its ill-fated crew and the alien that’s hunting them.
Elvira in Horrorland is one heck of a fun trip through scary terrain. Her dialogue is consistently witty, the action is both exciting and funny, and the in-movie jokes and pop culture references are gold. This book by David Avallone is a treat for Elvira fans, horror lovers, and anyone who enjoys great writing and comedy.
Artist Silvia Califano and colorist Walter Pereyra continue to deliver great visuals with tons of movie-based detail. The panel layouts are cinematic, making each page fresh, while also quickening or slowing the pace as the story needs.
