Marvel Comics; $4.99

Writer Ed Brisson and artist Kev Walker have launched the first of Marvel’s Predator comics, based on the long-running action-adventure-horror franchise. Fans of the franchise won’t be disappointed, but this inaugural issue is highly accessible to new readers. It has a compelling central character, Theta, and we see a bit of her background, which sets up the main story.
