In the first story, Betty trades hunting werewolves and vampires for seeking out a missing alien. Then time and dreams take a weird turn for Trev and Ethel when they offer to help a friend. The issue wraps up in the future when Alexandra Cabot becomes obsessed with perfecting her appearance.
The three tales by Frank Tieri, Ron Robbins, and Joanne Starer are solid young adult stories with a pinch of EC horror twists. They don’t lean heavily into the Halloween spookiness, instead using concepts that freak people out even without monsters. It’s a fun read that’ll get Archie fans in the mood for Halloween.
