The new World’s Finest comic has seen Batman, Superman, and their allies face multiple dangerous foes from both their villain catalogs. For issue 12, which was released in February 2023, the book takes a break from the serious fare for a comedy of errors as Supergirl and Robin attempt to go on a date.

This whole issue by Mark Waid is a funny first date mess with miscommunications and awkwardness, with the added bonus of superheroes. There are misunderstandings about date night wardrobe, poorly executed attempts at banter, and other cringe worthy moments. The light comical story is a nice reminder that superheroes can be bad at dating just like regular folks, as well as a fun and less serious superhero comic.
