Comic fan and fanzine artist John G. Fantucchio has passed away.

Fantucchio is known and loved for his art in fanzines and illustrations. Titles he worked on included Rocket’s Blast Comic Collector and fanzines of the late 1960s and early 1970s like The Collector and Fantastic Fanzine. He also provided art for Vampirella and Creepy.

He produced interesting interpretations of comic book characters, creating a devoted fan base. In 1973 the Fantucchio School of Art was established and ran until 2001. He regularly taught at the school.
