CGC and Valiant Entertainment have joined forces to create Valiant’s first custom art CGC label. It will highlight the characters behind Valiant’s upcoming “Future of Valiant” new series and prestige format projects. The label features art by Diego Bernard (X-O Manowar, Ninjak) and is limited to just 500 pieces.

The limited edition certification label will debut at Baltimore Comic-Con on September 2, 2016. It will be available for CGC encapsulation as an add-on feature for any Valiant title, past or present, that is graded at Baltimore Comic-Con.

Customers can purchase The Future of Valiant custom label in CGC’s Blue Universal Designation for $5 at CGC’s booth 901 or online while supplies last.

The CGC label features Valiant icons Faith, Harbinger Renegades, and Bloodshot, plus new stars Generation Zero, Savage, and Divinity.

Covering seven series, The Future of Valiant is a new wave of ongoing series, prestige format projects, and standalone events. Each introduces new concepts and characters established in Valiant’s universe.

Comics include Faith #1 (Jody Houser, Pere Pérez, and Marguerite Sauvage) which was released in July, Generation Zero #1 (Fred Van Lente and Francis Portela) in August, Britannia #1 (Peter Milligan and Juan Jose Ryp) in September, Bloodshot U.S.A. #1 (Jeff Lemire and Doug Braithwaite) in October, Harbinger Renegades #1 (Rafer Roberts and Darick Robertson) in November, Savage #1 (B. Clay Moore, Clayton Henry, and Lewis LaRosa) in November, and Divinity III: Stalinverse #1 (Matt Kindt and Trevor Hairsine) in December.

The Future of Valiant custom label is the second collaboration between CGC and Valiant. The Valiant x CGC Replica Variant Series was a first of its kind line of shelf covers featuring Valiant heroes in printed reproductions of CGCs trademark grading cases with art by Henry (Harbinger Wars) and Pérez (Faith).

Last week the companies, along with Geppi’s Entertainment Museum, joined to celebrate the one millionth copy of X-O Manowar. Read more about that in our Industry News article.
