Gemstone Publishing is teaming once again with the folks from Cosplay By McCall’s to present an in-depth panel on the cosplay hobby, this time at New York Comic Con. The panel, “Cosplay: Let’s Get Serious,” will engage in a thought-provoking, insider’s look at cosplay.

The panel will take place on Saturday, October 8, from 11 AM to 12 PM in Room 1A02 at the convention. It will be moderated by Ed Catto; representatives from Cosplay By McCall’s include Kathy Wiktor, Gillian Conahan and Becka Noel, while Gemstone will be represented by Overstreet Guide to Cosplay author Carrie Wood and Gemstone Creative Director Mark Huesman.

“This panel proved to be a huge success when we held it at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year,” Wood said. “I look forward to having the opportunity to present it to a fresh audience. Between my own experience on the book and the obvious wealth of knowledge that the McCall’s people have, I think this will be an educational experience for anyone who chooses to attend.”
