The Honorable Stephanie A. Miner, Mayor of the City of Syracuse, has declared June 24, 2017 to be “Neal Adams Day.” Not only is this iconic artist being honored by the Syracuse, New York, but by Salt City Comic-Con as well. Adams will be the Guest of Honor throughout the entire convention, taking place on June 24-25.

The trendsetting comic artist is best known for his groundbreaking art on characters like Batman, Green Arrow, Superman, and the X-Men. Adams is also wildly respected for his innovative work in advertising and his passionate efforts championing creators’ rights. This special dedication recognizes that “Neal Adams has been inspiring generations with his skills and vision for the past five decades in comics, graphic novels, and advertising, with his artistic trailblazing, integrity and innovation.”

“We’re thrilled to host a talent like Neal Adams at this comic-con and are honored to have him spend a little time in Central New York,” Ed Catto, pop culture and marketing expert, said.

During this two-day event at Syracuse’s Oncenter, Adams will be meeting fans at his exhibition booth on the showroom floor. On June 25 from 12 PM to 1 PM Graphic Policy’s Brett Schenker will moderate the Neal Adams Panel Discussion in the Oncenter’s “Hall of Justice.”

Adams will also be making a pre-show appearance at Larger Than Life Toys & Comics in the Great Northern Mall in Clay, NY. This event is scheduled from 6 PM to 9 PM on June 22 and admission is completely free.

Celebrating its fourth year, Syracuse’s Salt City Comic-Con is taking place at the Oncenter on 800 South State Street in New York. Presale tickets are currently available online.
