In anticipation of their next major comic event, Marvel has produced an animated trailer for the Avengers: No Surrender event.

The trailer doesn’t reveal a lot about the plot, but it does show that three current Avengers teams will join in an attempt to stop an apocalyptic event. The multi-team announcement was followed by an intriguing line, teasing that Voyager is “the greatest Avenger you’ve never heard of.”

Marvel Senior Vice President of Publishing Tom Brevoort and Editor in Chief Axel Alonso participated in the trailer, teasing the event. Brevoort calls the title both a “rallying cry” and a “statement of fact.” Alonso points out that in the pages of comics the special effects possibilities are limitless, which they intend to capitalize on in this event.

We don’t have long to wait until the event takes place. Avengers: No Surrender will be in stores weekly in January 2018. It is helmed by Mark Waid, Al Ewing, and Jim Zub, with art by Pepe Larraz, Kim Jacinto, and Paco Medina.

In preparation for the event, Marvel also introduce the new Lethal Legion.
