Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Marvel and Netflix have greenlit Iron Fist for a second season. According to a production listing from SpoilerTV, it appears filming on season two is set to begin in early December 2017 in New York City.

Raven Metzner will be replacing Inhumans’ Scott Buck as showrunner on the Marvel Comics-based series. Given the numerous other series in development, Iron Fist season two will most likely premiere late 2018 or early 2019. Filming for Jessica Jones season two just ended, Luke Cage season two is currently in production and filming for Daredevil season three is set to being next week. Meanwhile, The Punisher will be streaming on Netflix this Friday, November 17.

“We’re at least four or five months away from shooting. So this time around, I’m being given a lot more preparation leading up to season two, which I think is really gonna have a huge improvement on the quality of the fight scenes in season two of Iron Fist,” shared Finn Jones in August.

Iron Fist stars Jones in the titular role, alongside Jessica Henwick, Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Stroup, Sacha Dhawan, and Simone Missick.
