Netlfix has finally announced the premiere date for season two of Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Landing on Netflix, more than two years after the debut, season two will kick off on March 8, 2018. Along with the premiere date, the streaming network also released teaser and official synopsis for the new season.

“New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why,” read the synopsis.

Jones recently teamed up with Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in Marvel’s The Defenders. The series saw the vigilantes defeat the Hand and stop the corrupt group from destroying New York City. According to lead actress Krysten Ritter, this feat was merely a “blip” in Jones’ story. Ritter shared that season two would dive into a “very personal” storyline for Jones adding that “If season one was in her head and in her mind, then season two will be more in her heart.”

Jessica Jones, created by Melissa Rosenberg, stars Ritter, Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachael Taylor, and Eka Darville. The second season will see the addition of J.R. Ramirez and Janet McTeer, along with an appearance by David Tennant as Jones’ tormenter Kilgrave.
