The Toy Story Land expansion at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park in Orlando, Florida will be opening on June 30, 2018, according to the announcement made on Good Morning America on February 16. The area has been under construction since April 3, 2016, and will add two new rides to the park.

The area is themed to make visitors feel as though they’ve been shrunk down to the size of one of Andy’s toys. The new rides are the “Slinky Dog Dash” coaster, a family-friendly rollercoaster, and the “Alien Swirling Saucers,” a spinning ride focused on the Little Green Aliens. “Toy Story Midway Mania!” has been operating at Hollywood Studios since 2008, but will have its entrance relocated to Toy Story Land. Also included in the new area is the “Woody’s Lunch Box” quick-service dining location.

Toy Story Land has been one of several ongoing construction and expansion projects at Hollywood Studios; others have included the construction of “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway” inside the Chinese Theater building (which replaces “The Great Movie Ride”), set to open in 2019, and the additional land expansion of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, also set to open next year.
