Following the success of his Emmy-winning DreamWorks Trollhunters, Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is once again collaborating with Netflix for a live-action series. The streaming giant has officially ordered their first original horror anthology series with Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight.

The press release described the series as a selection of personally curated stories by del Toro, “that are both equally sophisticated and horrific.” Adding that “on Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight, creator and executive producer del Toro will bring his own visionary style as both a writer and director to certain episodes. In addition, he will hand pick a team of the genre’s best writers and exciting new filmmakers to bring his selection of stories to life.”

Details on which directors will be tapped for the episodes, and how many episodes will make up the series, have not yet been announced.

Currently, del Toro is working with Scott Cooper on the film Antlers, as well as extending his partnership with DreamWorks Animation and his new genre label at Fox Searchlight.
