Quantcast

Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Alyson Hannigan has been cast as the matriarch of the Possible family, brain surgeon Dr. Ann Possible, for the new live-action Kim Possible movie. Also joining the cast in the role of grandmother Nana Possible is The Big C’s Connie Ray.

Additional cast announcements include Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys) and Taylor Ortega (Number 2) as respective popular villains Drakken and Shego. As well as Ciara Wilson (OMG!) as new high school student Athena with Erika Tham (Make It Pop) cast as Kim’s childhood frenemy, Bonnie. These new faces join the previously announced leads of Sadie Stanley (Game Shakers) as Kim Possible and Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs) as Ron Stoppable.

Kim Possible debuted on Disney Channel in 2002 as an animated series centered around a teenage girl who saves the world from villains. While balancing cheerleading and academics, Kim Possible took down villains with her sidekick Ron Stoppable and his naked mole-rat Rufus. The Emmy Award-winning series later spawned two animated movies, Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama and Kim Possible: A Stitch in Time.

At the helm of the live-action Kim Possible movie are the shows original creators, Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley with Josh Cagan (The DUFF). McCorkle and Schooley will also serve as executive producers alongside Zanne Devine (I, Tonya). The movie will also be co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky (Mech-X4).

Kim Possible is set to debut in 2019.
