The second season of Marvel and Netflix’s Luke Cage will be available in just a few days on Friday, June 22, 2018. To get fans even more excited for the bulletproof hero’s return, Netflix just dropped a new trailer for season two.

Set over the tune of The Fugees’ “Ready or Not,” the new trailer opens with Mariah declaring, “Harlem doesn’t need a hero – it needs a queen.” She has thoroughly embraced her criminal impulses establishing an empire, when a new player comes to town.

Luke Cage has cleared his name and become a celebrity hero in Harlem, which increases the pressure to keep the community safe. Now, he’s in the middle of a dangerous conflict between Mariah and the new threat, Bushmaster.

Mariah’s confidence has clearly grown since she attained and acknowledged her new position in the community. But Bushmaster strolls in looking fairly comfortable with his odds for success in taking over her operation. Luke is in for a major fight.

Mike Colter returns as Luke Cage, along with Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, and Theo Rossi as Shades, plus series newcomer Mustafa Shakir as Bushmaster.
