Marvel’s world of Defenders TV shows on Netflix continue to see their ends following the announcement that Daredevil was cancelled. This comes a few weeks after Iron Fist and Luke Cage were cancelled.

Netflix issued a statement expressing their pride in the series and their gratitude to Marvel, the writers, crew, and cast of the show. The statement went on to state that Daredevil could still appear in other projects.

“While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel,” Netflix said.

The cancellation comes not long after the series’ highly anticipated and popular third season became available on Netflix. Since The Defenders was only intended for its one season event, the only two remaining Marvel Netflix shows are Jessica Jones and The Punisher.
