As the premiere of DC Universe’s Doom Patrol rapidly approaches, a new poster has been released showcasing the “World’s Strangest Heroes.” The image features April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, Joivan Wade as Cyborg, Matt Bomer as Negative Man, Brendan Fraser as Robotman, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane and Timothy Dalton as team leader Dr. Niles Caulder, a/k/a The Chief.

While the Doom Patrol was initially created by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani, the live-action adaptation seems to take inspiration from the most recent iteration from Gerard Way and Nick Derrington. 

The rag-tag team was introduced as Beast Boy’s pseudo-foster family in the first season of DC Universe’s Titans. Each of the members derived their unique abilities through strange accidents. Doom Patrol will spin out of Titans with Bowlby and Fraser reprising their roles, while also introducing the rest of the eccentric superhero team and series villain Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk). 

Doom Patrol is scheduled to premiere on DC Universe on February 15, 2019.
