In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Marvels, the four-issue miniseries written by Kurt Busiek with art by Alex Ross, Marvel is releasing a series of 20 variant covers this spring that pay tribute to Ross’ work.

As seen through the eyes of photographer Phil Sheldon, Marvels told the origin stories of various Marvel superheroes. Ross’ artwork used a vintage, painted look to make the classic comic characters appear as real as possible.

Marvel has shared the complete list of artists whose work will appear on upcoming issues of Marvel Comics, along with a sneak peek at 12 of the 20 covers.

The full list of variants include Amazing Spider-Man #23 by Daniel Acuna and #24 by Mark Brooks.
