Sanrio’s Aggretsuko has a rage that can no longer be limited to just the wildly successful Netflix animated series – the show is now heading to comic book form thanks to Oni Press. According to the announcement by the publisher, the comic will be handled by Black Mage’s Daniel Barnes and D.J. Kirkland.

“Growing up, I’ve loved so many of the Sanrio characters like Badtz Maru and Pochacco. But after meeting Retsuko, she has definitely taken the crown,” Kirkland said in a statement. “I’ve worked my fair share of desk jobs in my adult life and being able to bring these personal experiences to Aggretsuko’s world is going to be a lot of fun! Daniel and I have some fun stuff planned.”

Aggretsuko follows Retsuko, a red panda who deals with an unsatisfying office job and relieves her stress by singing death metal at a karaoke bar. The Netflix series debuted in April 2018 and has so far run for two seasons. The Oni Press comic series will begin in February 2020.
