The first full length trailer for Doctor Who season one is here and it promises loads of adventure. The trailer features series fresh faces Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday.

Gatwa continues the theatrical exuberance he displayed in his first outing as the Doctor during the 2023 Christmas special. The trailer matches his enthusiasm and humor as Ruby accidentally steps on a butterfly way back in the past and goes through a startling transformation. The Doctor and Ruby visit Victorian England, the swinging ‘60s, uncharted territory, and the edges of space. Of course, it isn’t all fun adventures when the world needs saving.

The rebranded season one sees the returns of Bonnie Langford as Sixth/Seventh Doctor companion Mel Bush and Jemma Redgrave as UNIT leader Kate Stewart. This season will feature Lenny Rush, Aneurin Barnard, Indira Varma, Jonathan Groff, Jinx Monsoon, Anita Dobson, Yasmin Finney, Michelle Greenidge, Genesis Lynea, and Angela Wynter.

Russell T. Davies is back as the showrunner, as well as executive producer and writer, on the new season. Episodes will be directed by Ben Chessell, Jamie Donoughue, Julie Anne Robinson, and Dylan Holmes Williams.

The new season debuts on Disney+ on May 10, 2024.
