The Baltimore Comic-Con will celebrate its 25th anniversary on September 20-22, 2024. The convention is building a large guest list that now includes John Beatty, John Cassaday, Trish Forstner, Al Milgrom, Liam Sharp, and Billy Tucci.

Beatty started working for DC and Marvel when he was 19 years old, and his early work was as the finisher on JLA and inker on Captain America. Then he and Mike Zeck provided the art on Marvel Super Heroes: Secret Wars and they paired again on The Punisher miniseries and graphic novel. At DC, Beatty was the inker on Batman: Year 3 and early issues of Legends of the Dark Knight. He moved into DC Licensing, producing vector ink and color for style guides for movies, animated series, and licensed products.

Artist Cassaday co-created the Wildstorm series, Planetary, Marvel’s Astonishing X-Men, and the launch of the Star Wars ongoing series. He worked on X-Men, Captain America, and Uncanny Avengers at Marvel, and Doc Savage at Dynamite. Recently, he has provided covers on Miracleman, Magneto, Savage Wolverine, and Captain Marvel, as well as Image’s Starlight.

Forstner is a relative newcomer to comics who has provided art for Stray Dogs and My Little Pony, as well as variant covers for many independent titles.

Milgrom earned a degree in art and design from the University of Michigan in ’72, then he became an intern at DC, working with Murphy Anderson. As a penciler and inker, he worked on Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man, and co-created Firestorm. His art has appeared at Archie, Atlas, Dark Horse, and other publishers, and was an editor for Marvel and DC.

Sharp is a writer and artist known for drawing Wonder Woman: Rebirth series and The Lies and the Truth, and for writing and drawing The Brave and the Bold: Batman and Wonder Woman series. He had a 24-issue run drawing The Green Lantern and provided art for Batman: Reptilian. He wrote and illustrated his creator-owned series, Starhenge, at Image, and has been writing and producing art for Spawn: The Dark Ages.

Tucci is best known for his modern day samurai title, Shi, which has been printed in five languages and sold over three million comics. He has worked on Sgt. Rock, Harley Quinn, Flash Vs. Superman, and Batman, and retold the Christmas story in A Child Is Born. Tucci released the Shi: Return of the Warrior, Shi: Haikyo, and the Shi: Omnibus Vol. 1, illustrated Wonder Woman: Angel of Battle, and wrote the return of June Tarpe Mills’ golden age icon, Miss Fury. He recently released Shi: Return of the Warrior, Shi: Omnibus Edition, and Zombie-Sama.

“It’s such a treat to feature amazing talents like these,” Baltimore Comic-Con show promoter Marc Nathan said. “These are some of the greatest folks whose work has graced the comics industry. Their talents have left lasting marks, and their fans continue to seek them out. We’re excited to see them this September.”
