Super Nintendo World is coming to Universal Studios Orlando as part of the new Universal Epic Universe park. Universal has presented the details on the attraction, including the rides, merchandise, meet and greets, and food options.

After entering through a large green pipe, visitors will find the park split into Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country.

Super Mario Land features the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride based on the video game series. The Yoshi’s Adventure ride will take visitors on a tour of the Mushroom Kingdom where they will hunt for glowing eggs.

Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad will greet attendees throughout the park, and merchandise will be sold at the 1-Up Factory and Mario Motors. There are plenty of food options in Super Mario Land, such as the Toadstool Café where visitors can try Mario-themed dishes like Super Mushroom Soup and Fire Flower Spaghetti and Meatballs. Quicker meals will be available at Yoshi’s Snack Island or Turbo Boost Treats.

There aren’t as many details on Donkey Kong Country, though it was announced that it’ll house the Mine-Cart Madness roller coaster with carts “blasted out of a barrel, seemingly jumping over gaps as they speed along a rickety track.” Specific restaurant names and menu items aren’t available yet, but Universal did state that they will have a tropical menu. Meet and greets with characters like Donkey Kong are another unknown factor at this point.

Similar to other Super Nintendo Worlds, visitors at the Orlando park can buy Power-Up Bands to interact with areas in both sections. This includes accessories with Nintendo characters and they will work with the Nintendo Switch for games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Super Nintendo World will open at Epic Universe in 2025.
