Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is meshing technology with pop culture in next month’s Silicon Valley Comic Con. The convention will bring together pop culture and comics with all the coolest technology. Silicon Valley Comic Con will be held on March 18-20, 2016 in San Jose, California.

“I don’t like doing the same thing as everyone else,” Wozniak told The Associated Press, regarding the new convention he and four partners created. Silicon Valley Comic Con is the first time Wozniak has backed a major event since the ’80s.

The show is expected to draw a crowd of 30,000 engineers, entrepreneurs, and pop culture fans. There will be panels focused on the quantum realm and an app alley similar to artist’s alley that will present products from different startups. Celebrity guests will also be there, including William Shatner (Star Trek) and Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Lea Thompson (Back to the Future).

“The emotions we have for technology now are the same as we get for movies, celebrities, and the whole pop culture side of our lives,” he said.

Wozniak is hoping that Silicon Valley Comic Con will inspire engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs to try out new ideas, even if they seem unrealistic. “A lot of science fiction starts out as a dream in your head where you go, ‘Wow, that would be cool,’ and then you have the actual technology people turn it into reality,” Wozniak said. “That is the process of creation.”

There are still tickets available for $25 to $99. To learn more about the con read our Catch the Wave coverage.
