The 45th Annual Mayor’s Christmas Parade in Baltimore, Maryland took place on December 3, 2017 across the Hampden and Medfield neighborhoods of the city. A record crowd of roughly 15,000 people lined the 2.5-mile route to watch the spectacle, which was bookended with Mayor Catherine Pugh at the start and none other than Santa Claus himself at the finale.

Besides the holiday-themed balloons and floats, there were also plenty of sights for fans of geek culture. Members of the local chapters of both the 501st Legion and Rebel Alliance were out in full Star Wars regalia as part of the parade – just in time for the release of The Last Jedi, too. While we’re pretty sure that Kylo Ren is bound to be on the Naughty List this season, the reaction from the crowd was immensely positive.
