The communities of BoardGameGeek, RPGGeek, and VideoGameGeek have determined the winners of the 12th Annual Golden Geek Awards. The Golden Geek Awards are given to outstanding board games, tabletop RPGs and video games, as voted upon by their respective communities.

Board Game of the Year went to Gloomhaven, a game that also picked up the awards for Cooperative Game, Innovative Game, Solo Game, Strategy Game, and Thematic Game. Best Two-Player Game went to Codenames Duet, Best Artwork and Presentation went to Photosynthesis, Best Card Game went to Century: Spice Road, and Best Family Game went to Azul.

On the RPG front, Tales from the Loop picked up Game of the Year, with Xanathar’s Guide to Everything winning both Best Supplement and Best Artwork and Presentation.

And for video games, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won Game of the Year, Best Visuals/Artwork, Most Innovative Game, and Best Nintendo Switch Game. Cuphead picked up both the award for Best Indie Game and for Best Xbox One game.
