This is the last weekend to bid in the ComicLink Spring Featured Auction with the first lots closing this coming Tuesday night, May 24, 2016 starting at 8 PM ET. Over 1,200 vintage comic book lots end Tuesday night and Wednesday night, May 25, followed by over 450 premium-quality original art lots on Thursday night, May 26. This is one of only four Featured Auctions in 2016 and one of the best chances of the year to add some stellar vintage comic books or related original art to your collection.

Comic book highlights, include but are not limited to, rare Golden Age keys like Action Comics #7 (second Superman cover) CGC 6.0, Pep Comics #22 (first Archie) CBCS 2.0, and the extremely rare Canadian White comic book Nelvana in CGC 6.5, a/k/a the Canadian Action Comics #1. This Featured Auction also includes an incredible selection of Golden Age high grades, including a significant number of pedigree examples from the Edgar Church/Mile High collection plus examples from other pedigrees including Davis Crippen, Rockford, Big Apple, and even Allentown. A large number of these Golden Age examples are either single highest graded or among the top few certified for the issue.

The Featured Auction also offers many high grade Silver Age keys like Amazing Spider-Man #1 CGC 9.2, Tales of Suspense #39 (first Iron Man) CGC 9.4 and X-Men #1 (first X-Men and Magneto) CGC 9.0. Also offered are some of the top books from the Bronze and Modern eras, like Hero For Hire #1 (first Luke Cage) CGC 9.8 Signature Series, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 (first Turtles) CGC 9.6. You’ll find everything you’ve come to expect from a ComicLink Featured Auction and even some things you might not.

Original art highlights include early artwork by master artists like Hal Foster and Frank Frazetta and exceptional artwork by Silver Age titans Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko such as strong pages from early issues of Fantastic Four, Avengers, and Amazing Spider-Man and a rare Ditko Mr. A splash. Featured are Bronze and Modern Age masterworks like Barry Windsor-Smith's Conan Saga #5 cover painting, John Romita's Captain America #171 cover with Captain America, the Falcon, and the Black Panther together, Todd McFarlane's Incredible Hulk #343 cover and, of course, Romita Jr.'s iconic Uncanny X-Men #211 “Mutant Massacre” cover. Included are significant numbers of splash and interior pages by the likes of John Byrne and Jim Starlin from classic Bronze Age series like X-Men, Warlock, and Captain Marvel. There is an amazing array of quality artwork in this auction – any art aficionado is sure to find some great items for the collection.
