Part III of eMoviePoster’s August Major Auction is underway. It is filled with 211 animation items, both linen-backed and unbacked. Collectors can review these Sunday items at www.emovieposter.com.

Part I of the August Major Auction, which held 283 linenbacked one-sheets, realized $86,500. According to eMoviePoster, it was beyond their expectations. They will provide full coverage of the August Major Auction next week.

Unbacked posters in Part III include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) style B one-sheet, an insert, both with Gustaf Tenggren art, and a jumbo window card, Alice in Wonderland (1951) style A half-sheet for the Lewis Carroll cartoon, Pinocchio (1940) pressbook full-color tipped-in herald, Reluctant Dragon (1941) lobby card with an original Bambi cel, Dumbo (1941) pressbook with cool die-cut full color folder, Bambi (1942) pressbook for the classic cartoon, Pinocchio (1940) standee measuring 11” x 14”, Pinocchio (1940) lobby card showing him with J. Worthington Foulfellow, Mickey Mouse (1930) softcover book, Tom & Jerry Festival of Fun (1962) half-sheet, Pinocchio (1941) lobby card with a close-up of Jiminy Cricket, Der Fuehrer’s Face (1943) pressbook with Donald Duck and Hitler, Pinocchio (1940) standee of Gepetto and one of the Blue Fairy, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs style A half-sheet from the 1943 rerelease, 4th of July Firecrackers (1953) with Mickey, Donald, and Pluto, Melody Time (1948) lobby card #5 with Pecos Bill on horse and #3 with Little Toot, Terry-Toon (1946) lobby card #2 showing Heckle and Jeckle, and Italian NIC (1933) advertising poster with Mickey Mouse.

Linen-backed posters include Russian Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1955) measuring 19” x 27”, Popeye cartoon (1943) Paramount animation, Triplet Trouble (1952) one-sheet with great art of Tom and three kittens watching Jerry, Scrappy (1936) promotional one-sheet, Puttin’ on the Dog (1944) with art of Tom disguised and Jerry with angry dogs, Cold Turkey (1951) one-sheet featuring great cartoon art, Droopy’s Good Deed (1951) one-sheet Tex Avery, Yankee Doodle Mouse one-sheet for the 1949 rerelease, Jungle Book (1967) depicting Mowgli and his friends, The Framed Cat (1950) with Tom leaning on a chair with Jerry, Heir Bear (1953) one-sheet displaying Barney Bear, Daredevil Droopy (1951) one-sheet for the Tex Avery cartoon, The Bear and the Hare (1948) one-sheet showing Barney Bear on skis, Home on the Range (1940) showing a hungry wolf going after a young calf, and Reluctant Dragon (1941) one-sheet for a behind the scenes look at Disney.

eMoviePoster sells 100,000 unique collectibles every year, and in 2015 they sold 127,888 items. Every one of the more than 1.1 million collectibles they sold started at $1 with no reserve and no buyer’s premiums, and well over half of the auctions sold for $14 or under, and quite a few auctioned for just $1, $2, or $3 each.
