A rare copy of the very first Archie comic book will be sold at the end of next week in ComicConnect’s Summer Special Auction, according to Vincent Zurzolo, Chief Operating Officer of ComicConnect.

The comic, Pep Comics #22, introduced the characters Archie, Betty, and Jughead to the world in December 1941. Extremely rare in high grade, this copy certified CBCS 5.0 is available for bidding right now, Zurzolo added.

“We are really excited about this very rare and highly sought-after book that is so much a part of comic history,” said Director of Consignments Rob Reynolds. “It’s incredible to see how far demand outstrips supply, and of course, there can be only one lucky winner in this auction.”

In addition, Archie collectors can bid to win on Archie Comics #1 CGC 2.5.
