It was another busy week at the Hake’s Americana & Collectibles office as they prepare for Auction #221. Despite the flurry of activity, the staff took some time to share upcoming auction highlights on their Facebook page.

Auction #221 will take a bite out of summer with a Jaws half-sheet depicting the terrifying shark in the Stephen Spielberg flick. For fans of the less scary creatures, check out the 1971 The Banana Splits figures of Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper, and Snorky.

Two DC-Marvel crossover comics were featured this week. One was Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man special issue signed by Stan Lee and Julius Schwartz and the second was a battle of the temperamental with Batman vs. The Incredible Hulk.

In light of the Dark Universe announcement, they posted some Universal Monsters items. The next auction will include 1960s glasses featuring the Mummy, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman and wind-ups of Frankenstein, the Wolfman, the Mummy, and Creature.

Additional highlights this week were 1970s figures of General Mills Monsters Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry, and Frute Brute, as well as a vintage Cheech and Chong button from their appearance at Tennessee Tech University.
