Collectors will tell you, you never forget your first comic. Throughout Hake’s Americana & Collectibles current Auction #222, a wide variety of CGC graded comics are being featured. Among these fine lots, is a large selection of first appearances as well as first stories by classic writers/artists. 

Included in lot 1282 is a War Against Crime #10 CGC 9.8, which features the first appearance of The Vault Keeper and Vault of Horror. Lot 1317 includes Batman Adventures #12 CGC 9.8, which showcases the debut comic appearance of Harley Quinn. 

Highlighted in lot 1329 is an example of Green Lantern #1 CGC 4.5, featuring the initial appearance of the Guardians of the Universe. While lot 1338 includes Showcase #22 CGC 5.5 , which offers the first appearance and origin story of the Silver Age Green Lantern Hal Jordan. 

Lot 1348 and 1349 include the same issue of Amazing Fantasy #15, featuring the debut appearance of Spider-Man, Aunt May and Uncle Ben, just in different grades. Showcased in lot 1351 is Amazing Spider-Man #3 CGC 9.2, offering the first appearance and origin story of Doctor Octopus (Otto Octavius).

Featured in lot 1354 is Avengers #1 CGC 3.0, including the debut appearance of the original Avengers. Meanwhile lots 1368-1369 offer the same issue of Incredible Hulk #181, featuring the first full appearance of Wolverine, just in different grades. 

Showcased in lot 1376 includes New Mutants #98 CGC 9.8, which features the first appearance of Deadpool. Lot 1383 features Tales to Astonish #27 CGC Restored UK Edition, which includes the debut appearance of Ant-Man. 

Additional highlights include Flash #139 CGC 4.0 (first Zoom/Reverse-Flash), Green Lantern #76 CGC 9.2 (first Green Lantern-Green Arrow story by Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams), Sandman #1 CGC 9.8 (first Morpheus), Amazing Spider-Man #2 CGC 5.0 (first Vulture), Amazing Spider-Man #129 CGC 8.5 (first Punisher/Vulture), Avengers #4 CGC 2.0 (first Silver Age Captain America), and Avengers #57 CGC 4.5 (first Silver Age Vision).
