On December 9-10, 2017, Heritage Auctions is hosting their Signature Animation Art Auction. As in past years, this auction features impressive pieces of memorabilia ranging from production cels to pantings. 

Highlights to this auction include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs “Silly Song” production cel setup with master production background, South Park “The Spirit of Christmas” hand-cut animation scene, and The Flintstones Fred and Barney with Ann-Margrock production cel. 

The Jungle Book Shere Khan production cel, Carl Barks’ “Family Portrait” Uncle Scrooge and Disney Ducks painting #73-15 with handwritten letter (Walt Disney, 1973), and Mary Blair’s “It’s a Small World” Disneyland painting are offered. 

Other highlights are a Kem Weber designed Disney animation desk with Eric Larson pencil tray, Doctor Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas Grinch and Max production/presentation cel setup, and Peter Pan Peter and Tiger Lilly production cel and master production background. 

On December 9 at 11 AM CT, lots 95001-95344, will be featured during Session 1. Session 2 will begin at 5 PM CT with 96001-96140. On December 10 at 1 PM CT, session 3 will feature lots 97001-9756. 

Proxy bidding ends one hour prior to the session start time, while live Proxy bidding on Heritage Live starts 24 hours before the session begins and continues throughout.

In addition to the successful bid a buyer’s premium is charged, for this auction it’s 19.5% of the successful bid (minimum $19) per lot.
