An interior page from Amazing Spider-Man #316, drawn by Todd McFarlane, will be up for grabs in ComicConnect’s forthcoming Event Auction. The artwork features Spider-Man battling it out with his arch-nemesis, Venom, over four action-packed panels. Having been created only a year prior to #316, this is one of the sinful symbiote’s earliest appearances.

“Todd McFarlane made an indelible mark on Spider-Man during his tenure on the book,” said Vincent Zurzolo, ComicConnect COO. “We’re also at a time when Venom’s popularity continues to reach new heights, making this piece of artwork a one-two punch.”

The villain will soon be making the leap from the pages of Amazing Spider-Man to the silver screen. A film starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, Venom’s alter ego, is due to reach theaters in October 2018.
