The good and the bad come together in Heritage’s current Sunday Internet Comics Auction. Copies of Marvel Feature #1 CGC 9.6 and Detective Comics #400 CGC 9.4 lead the sale that ends on May 27, 2018.

The Defenders make their original lineup appearance in Marvel Feature #1 CGC 9.6. The superhero foursome began as Doctor Strange, the Hulk, Sub-Mariner, and Silver Surfer, then later added characters like Valkyrie, Hawkeye, Nighthawk, Yellowjacket, and Devil-Slayer. It features art by Don Heck and Ross Andru with cover by Neal Adams and reprinted Timely era Sub-Mariner story drawn by Bill Everett. This issue also contains a backup story featuring Baron Mordo, the frequent villain of Doctor Strange.

A battle of opposites takes place in Detective Comics #400 CGC 9.4 when Batman faces Man-Bat. The villain, created by Frank Robbins and Neal Adams, makes his first appearance in this issue. It features art by Adams and Gil Kane with a cover by Adams, plus a backup story that sees Batgirl and Robin team up for the first time.
