A high grade copy of The Avengers #48 and a Mighty World of Marvel promotional poster are among the featured lots in Heritage’s current Sunday Internet Comics, Animation & Art Auction. They will close for bidding on Sunday, December 16, 2018.

Hailing from the Clinton Collection, The Avengers #48 CBCS 9.0 features the origin and first appearance of the new Black Knight. Dane Whitman became the third character known as Black Knight after he inherited a mystical sword that carried a curse. Depicting a cover and art by George Tuska, this issue also contains appearances by Magneto and Toad.

Another interesting piece in the current Sunday auction is the John Buscema Mighty World of Marvel promotional send-away poster. In the 1972 debut issue of the popular British reprint publication, Stan Lee provided a message that each of the first 10 issues would include a coupon and a clue for a mystery gift – this poster. Measuring 20” x 26-1/2”, the poster depicts the Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, The Thing, Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, and the Human Torch.

The current Heritage Sunday Internet Comics, Animation & Art Auction is filled with 934 lots of comic books, original comic art, and memorabilia. Bidding opens at 6 PM CT on ha.com.
