Next weekend, take a train to Danbury, Connecticut for a fast paced toy and train auction. Held at the Danbury Plaza Hotel and Conference Center-18 at Old Ridgebury Road in Danbury, Connecticut, the sale includes three fabulous TCA collections. The first part is Friday, August 15, 2008 of trains and box lots beginning at 6:30 PM, with a preview from 4:00 to 6:30 PM and part two will be Saturday of trains and toys beginning at 10:00 AM with previews Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 to 10:00 AM.

Trains, toys, and antiques will hit the auction block in the two part sale. First there’s a notable grouping of Robert Lemberger’s Ives & Disney collection. The sale will include part two of Rev. Robert Roedel’s very large Lionel, AF O & S and Toy collection including over 30 super banks, ink wells, hotel bells, and various unusual pieces. Also featured is part two of the Stan Troski Super Marx Plastic Collection, featuring many store displays. Next is part three of Harry Lovelock’s Lionel Postwar Variation Collection. The auction will also include a collection of high end modern trains.

Bidding can be done in person or online at eBay live auctions, under seller name Newenglandtoytrain or NETTE in eBay’s “All Categories” search. Friday’s offerings include cataloged HO and mixed gauges and ages lots #1-225, attending and left bid only lots #226-324, and 75 uncataloged box lots. Saturday includes S gauge lots #325-419, Marx lots #420-585, Lionel post war lots #586-737, modern O gauge lots #738-817, toys, banks, Disney, and antique lots #818-885, and pre-war O, 1, and standard gagues with related modern lots #886-1000. Note that lots #226 through #324, along with the 75 plus box lots are for attending buyers and left-bids only.
