A new exhibit focused on Disney’s Alice in Wonderland will be opening at Geppi’s Entertainment Museum in Baltimore’s historic Camden Yards sports complex on April 2.
The exhibit comes from the collection of Matt Crandall. It will consist of about 30 pieces of art, including posters from around the world, original animation cels, prototype and model art, original pictures, coloring books, promotional posters, Big Golden Book art, advertisements, designs for Disney rides, plus four cases of sculptures and other items from Alice in Wonderland.
The Alice exhibit is opening alongside The Artistry of Amanda Conner at GEM.
“Amanda Conner’s artwork has such a broad, incredible appeal, and Alice in Wonderland is a timeless Disney classic,” said Melissa Bowersox, President of GEM. “We’re honored to have both exhibits in Baltimore at the same time.”
The exhibit is currently scheduled to run for six months. GEM is located at Camden Yards, 301 W. Camden Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, just a short walk from tourist-friendly Inner Harbor. More details can be found at www.geppismuseum.com or by calling (410) 625-7060.
