Calling all science fiction aficionados located in the Baltimore area, Balticon 51 is headed your way! Balticon 51 is taking place on May 26-29, 2017 at The Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel on 202 East Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland.

Throughout the four-day weekend, enjoy multiple tracks of programming, featuring authors, artists, scientists, musicians, podcasters, publishers, editors, costumers and other creative sci-fi luminaries. Be sure to visit the art show and dealers room, or attend one of the concerts and dances. If you can tear yourself away from the entertaining panels, relax in the gaming or anime rooms. There will also be both a writer’s and poetry workshop, in addition to an exciting masquerade and film festival.

The Balticon 51 guest of honor is 1632 author, Eric Flint. During the convention, there will also be a 1632 mini-con in celebration of Flint’s long-running series. Transport yourself to the world of 1632 and enjoy a mass autographing session and program track. Fantasy artist Donato Giancola will also be attending as the artist guest of honor. Fiddler extraordinaire Amy McNally will attend as the filk guest, alongside 2016 Compton Crook winner Fran Wilde. Join the guests and the 2017 Compton Crook and Heinlein Award winners for a weekend of sci-fi fun!
