Get ready for two days of pop culture madness Virginia Beach! Tidewater Comicon is rapidly approaching on May 12-13, 2018 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on 1000 19th Street in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Exciting guests attending this show include Gates McFadden (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Matt Ryan (Legends of Tomorrow), Greg Cipes (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Walter Jones and David Fielding (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Rikki Simons (Invader Zim), Arthur Suydam (Marvel Zombies), Peter David (The Incredible Hulk), Mike Zeck (The Amazing Spider-Man), Aaron Kuder (Guardians of the Galaxy), Rags Morales (Action Comics), Pop Mhan (Injustice: Ground Zero), Reilly Brown (Deadpool & Cable), Larry Stroman (Alien Legion), Michael Golden (The Micronauts), Edwin Huang (Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers), Ron Wilson (The Thing), Todd Dezago (X-Men: The Hunt for Professor X), Craig Rousseau (Kyrra: Alien Jungle Girl), Tracy Yardley (Sonic the Hedgehog), and Geek Night Comedy.  

During Tidewater Comicon, attendees can enjoy various panels and workshops, as well as an extensive exhibitor floor and artists alley. While they have not released a full program guide, as of yet, Tidewater Comicon has announced one exciting event. The annual Tidewater Costume Contest will include categories for Best Male Cosplay, Best Female Cosplay, Best Youth Cosplay (12 and under), Best Group Cosplay (4 or more people with theme) and Judge’s Favorites. Contestants have the chance to win cash prizes, trophies, and some extra swag provided by the show’s sponsors. Be sure to check the show’s website in the weeks leading up to the convention for an updated program guide.  

The show is running Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM. One-day passes are $25 for Saturday and $23 for Sunday. A full weekend is available for $40, while children 10 and under are admitted for free. VIP passes are also currently available.
