Catch the Wave

Delaware Valleys longest running comic book convention is just around the corner! Philadelphia Comic-Con is taking place on October 14, 2018 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center on 76 Industrial Highway in Essington, Pennsylvania.  

The annual convention is being held in the 4,500 square-foot Presidential ballroom with with vendors and artists coming from 5 different states. During the show, attendees have the chance to purchase comic books from 1940 vintage classics to this months titles, as well as non-sport cards, Pokémon cards, original artwork, collecting supplies, DVD’s, action figures, Funko Pop! figures and other related collectibles.  

Special guest artist attending the show is Kubert Comic Art School instructor Darren Auck, who has many years of experience in the industry.  Besides selling sketches and prints Darren will also be doing portfolio reviews for any potential artists. Additional guests include the horror anthology team of Steve Myers, Jacob Jones-Goldstein and J. Patrick Conlon, and local independent artist Hector Nazario.

The show is running Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM.  Admission is only $3 per person with kids 10 and under admitted free with an accompanying adult. For more information about the upcoming convention, visit philadelphiacomic-con.com
