Most are familiar with the adamantium riddled mutant, Wolverine. But did you know he's not the only one laced with such a virtually unbreakable skeleton?

Originally created by Dennis O'Neil and Larry Hama, Yuriko Oyama made her first appearance in Alpha Fight #33 in 1985. Under the alias Lady Deathstrike, Yuriko Oyama joined the Marvel universe as the latest villain.

The science of bonding bone with adamantium was the stolen work of her father, Kenji Oyama. Given he's walking evidence, Yuriko blames Wolverine for this theft. In an effort to kill him, Yuriko allies herself with Donald Pierce and his band of cyborg mercenaries, the Reavers. 

After striking a deal with Pierce, Yuriko is transformed into a cyborg by an extra-dimensional being called Spiral. During this process, Spiral also infuses Yuriko's skeleton with adamantium.

Yuriko now has increased strength, speed, agility, endurance, reflexes and cybernetic healing along with elongated adamantium claws. As if she needed any more help! Yuriko was already expertly skilled in martial arts, Kenjutsu, as well as other samurai warrior skills.

Despite several attempts, Yurkio has yet to end her vendetta against Wolverine. But don't ever assume she's given up! To this day, she continues her assassin work as Lady Deathstrike while leading the Reavers, and also being CEO of Oyama Heavy Industries.
