While attending Harrisburg Comic Con, Scoop caught up with Power Rangers actress Karan Ashley to talk about the con, the show, and The Order.

Scoop: Are you having a good time?
Karan Ashley (KA):
The weekend here at Harrisburg Comic Con has been amazing. The fans are awesome and it’s just a great show. The people here that put on the show have been amazingly nice to us.

Scoop: Have you been out on the con floor to check out the exhibitors?
KA:
You know what, not yet, but I always do that on Sundays. That’s my mission on every show. At some point it slows down and then you go, ‘I have to go shopping or I have to go check out and see everybody and just check things out.’

Scoop: Are you getting questions about The Order?
KA:
Oh man, a lot of questions about The Order. We’re actually doing an Order panel here at the show. That’s one of the first ones that we’ve ever done. It’s really, really cool.

Scoop: Have you had any standout interactions with fans?
KA:
You know what, they all are. I love just meeting the fans and they always tell us stories about when they were kids and what Power Rangers meant to them and how it’s still in their lives. So for us, it’s just amazing to be able to meet them and that experience alone it really makes it bigger than what you thought it was. For us it was like ‘Oh we got an acting job and yay I get to be on TV’ and then you realize you’ve affected a whole generation of people. It’s such a cool situation.

Scoop: What was your favorite period of Power Rangers?
KA: I think when we went to Sydney, Australia to do the movie. Honestly, I think most of us hadn’t been out of the country, so that was really the first time. We were only, maybe, a month into being on the show at the time, so for me that was also the time that I really got to meet and get to know the cast. Before that we were just working together, so you’re working, working, working. But when you’re in a foreign country and it’s just the six of you all of a sudden you begin to have deeper conversations and you really kind of bond together and we really bonded at that point.
