In the Limelight

After two long and exhausting days in the convention center, I decided I needed a day away before the madness that is sure to take place on Saturday. So rather than go to the convention proper, I headed next door to the Marriott Marquis for the Play Nintendo event.

Though Nintendo has a presence on the show floor, their main hub is at Play Nintendo. It's a pretty cool show that features a bunch of family-friendly games, primarily for the 3DS, since there wouldn't be enough room for too terribly many Wii U setups. They also showed off several upcoming titles like the new Yo-Kai Watch games, Metroid Prime Federation Force, and Pokémon Sun and Moon. Attendees could pick up a passport and take it around the room, collecting stickers as they went, and at the end could turn it in for a chance at a crane game which held various Nintendo toys.

I'm glad I got a chance to check this event out in full. It is touring around the US but wouldn't have come anywhere near me at home. Plus, it was a nice way to break up the convention for me without wearing me out. Time to get geared up for tomorrow.
