In advance of Star Fox Zero’s release in North America, Nintendo has released an animated short that introduces the world of the game to a new audience. Nintendo partnered with Production I.G., the studio behind such anime hits as Attack on Titan, Haikyuu!!, Ghost in the Shell, and many others, to create the promotional piece.

The short, titled “The Battle Begins,” follows the Star Fox team as they enter the Coneria system on a mission, only to be ambushed by the forces of the villainous Andross.
