The notorious 1990s campy horror video game Night Trap is getting a remastered release courtesy of Limited Run Games. The game, which is being released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will arrive this spring, and is being called the “25th Anniversary Edition.”

The original Night Trap released for the Sega Mega CD on October 15, 1992; it was later ported to the 32X, 3DO, and other systems. It was notable for its usage of full-motion video in several scenes – many of which contributed to public outrage about video game content which in turn led to the formation of the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB).
